繁體中文 The Department of Social and Policy Sciences at Yuan Ze University in Taoyuan, Taiwan is pleased to announce that we are recruiting one or two full-time faculty members. The positions are open to applicants of all ranks, including assistant professor, associate professor, and full professor. The appointments will begin on February 01, 2024.
Qualifications of applicants:
1. Hold a doctoral degree in social or policy sciences, or a relevant field from institutes recognized by the Ministry of Education, Taiwan;
2. Able to teach courses in sociology, social work, social policy, or public policy in Mandarin or English;
3. Capable of collaborating with colleagues to work on multidisciplinary research projects;
4. Able to publish academic work in English.

1. Please download and complete the "YZU Faculty Qualification Form (DSPS)."
2. Curriculum Vitae, which includes educational experiences since undergraduate studies, research experiences, and teaching experiences;
3. Cover letter detailing the applicant’s research and teaching interests and expertise;
4. Photocopy of the doctoral degree certificate or other certifying documents showing that the applicant can obtain the doctoral degree before the appointment;
5. Photocopy of the transcript showing the applicant's educational records;
6. Photocopy of the teacher’s certificate issued by the Ministry of Education, Taiwan, if available;
7. Selective publications from the last five years, which may include the dissertation for applicants without full-time teaching experience;
8. Sample course syllabi for 3-5 courses (check the department course lists at http://sc.hs.yzu.edu.tw/content.aspx?id=7 and http://sc.hs.yzu.edu.tw/content.aspx?id=8);
9. Brief description of research plans in the near future;
10. Two recommendation letters.
Items 4 and 5 are required for applicants without full-time teaching experience. Foreign academic credentials and related certifications should be authenticated by Embassies and Missions abroad of Republic of China (Taiwan).
