【Sanitary & Health Care Section】During the winter break, continue to strengthen dengue fever vector mosquito prevention and control measures.

一、According to the Ministry of Health and Welfare's report on December 6, 2024, during the Executive Yuan's briefing on major mosquito-borne disease prevention, dengue fever cases remain high in several Southeast Asian countries, and outbreaks in the Americas are ongoing. Therefore, the risk of imported cases requires continued vigilance. Furthermore, sporadic local cases have been reported domestically, and recent temperatures remain favorable for the growth of vector mosquitoes. It is crucial to persist in implementing dengue prevention and control measures.

二、During the winter break, as opportunities for faculty, staff, and students to travel abroad for leisure or family visits increase, please take proper mosquito prevention measures while traveling. Upon returning from endemic countries, conduct self-health monitoring for 14 days. If symptoms such as fever or other suspected signs appear, seek medical attention promptly and proactively inform healthcare providers about your travel history to facilitate accurate diagnosis and treatment.
