Secretariat office is mainly responsible for managing council affairs, official document processing, general administrative affairs, official ceremonies and activities, and general service counter. It also supports the office of President, as well as Vice President, by coordinating between various colleges, divisions and administrative councils |
Since Secretariat Office carries on its mission to manage directors’ various affairs
and promote holistic university administration and significant projects, it is duty-bound to
play the roles of “administrative planner,” “negotiatory communicator,” “plan executor,”
and “emergency handler,” contriving attainable schemes, negotiating with interdisciplinary
divisions and departments and coping with problems of different sorts.
Currently there are 8 members and there is no division into groups in the office. Every member is mission-oriented.
Council Affairs
In terms of council affairs, the office is in charge of meetings, agendas and drafting of by-laws for the following councils:
1) The University Council,
2) The Executive Council,
3) The Budget Planning and Auditing Committee
4) The Administrative Quality Committee
General Administrative Affairs
General administrative affairs managed by the Secretariat Office include monitoring the implementation of
important university resolutions. The office is also responsible for reviewing the important plans and resolutions
submitted by various divisions of the university and recording important University events. In addition, it is also
in charge of collecting and compiling materials related to the history of the university.
Job Assignment
Briefly, Secretariat Office is in charge of the following tasks: 1.Planning for administrative development, budget and funds examination, and results assessment (evaluations of university affairs, faculty achievement, etc.) 2.Implementing quality system to upgrade holistic administrative services. 3.Preserving official documents and records of council meetings; compiling university history. 4.Hosting anniversary ceremony, the commencement of honorary doctoral degree and discussion for faculty and students; 5.Receiving honored guests; handling university’s public affairs; providing one-stop services. 6.Administering annual primary projects and university merging; reinforcing internationalization of administrations. |
