🚩 Yuan Ze University Alumni Association Activity Report
As the year-end approaches, the Yuan Ze University Alumni Association continues to demonstrate love and enthusiasm for caring for the vulnerable.
On January 3, 2024, together with the Yuan Ze University Global Cultural Initiative Team, we visited the Heng An Nursing Home, a private institution in New Taipei City, under the guidance of Professor Huang Yulan. The facility houses around 20 abandoned orphans, many of whom suffer from rare diseases and some are long-term bedridden children requiring continuous medical care. Upon our visit, these children showed rare and adorable smiles, full of innocence.
We believe that the children felt our warm care. However, the substantial monthly medical expenses often leave the institution struggling financially. With the full support of Yuan Ze University's President and Vice President, we signed a memorandum of cooperation with the institution. This collaboration is based on the university's commitment to fulfilling social responsibility, providing quality education, reducing inequality, and jointly caring for vulnerable groups. By sharing higher education resources and giving back to the local community, the Alumni Association is eager to work hand in hand with the Global Cultural Leadership Team to assist the institution in promoting multicultural development for children, leveraging medical care expertise, and utilizing other relevant resources. Together, we aim to provide comprehensive and sustainable care for these children with rare diseases.
