On March 8, in celebration of YZU’s anniversary, the College of Management hosted the Alumni Association General Meeting and Alumni Tea Gathering in the afternoon. The event attracted over 100 alumni, faculty, students, and their families, filling the venue with a warm and lively atmosphere. President Ching-Jong Liao attended the gathering to encourage the alumni and personally presented awards to outstanding graduates. He especially invited alumni to return to their alma mater at least once a year to continue fostering strong connections and contribute to the university’s growth.
During the event, Chi-Chi Qin, the second-term president of the College of Management Alumni Association, officially presented the election certificates and officer appointment letters, marking the formal inauguration of the new leadership team and the beginning of a new chapter for the association. He stated that although the Alumni Association was still in its growth phase, the diverse range of activities planned for the year provided an excellent opportunity to strengthen alumni bonds and promote networking. He expressed his hope of attracting more new faces to join and collectively enrich the legacy of the YZU College of Management.
As part of the Outstanding Alumni Recognition, Cheng Sheng-Feng, a Class of ’91 International Business graduate, and Yu Yao-Xing, a Class of ’16 EMBA graduate, shared how they applied the knowledge and skills gained from the College of Management to make an impact in their careers. They also emphasized the importance of continuous networking for professional growth. Yu Yao-Xing highlighted that participating in alumni events not only expanded his network but also allowed him to experience the warmth and sincere support among fellow alumni, which he believed was the most touching aspect of the Alumni Association. Their inspiring speeches received enthusiastic applause, motivating attendees to pursue their dreams fearlessly.
Zhao-Zhan You, the Alumni Association Secretary-General, reflected on the past year’s achievements and outlined the association’s future plans. He noted that with more new members joining this year, the upcoming activities would be even more diverse, ranging from networking events and professional forums to career-sharing sessions, each promising exciting experiences. This year’s activities were set to begin with the Dajia Mazu Pilgrimage, and all alumni were sincerely invited to participate and immerse themselves in Taiwan’s rich cultural traditions.
Additionally, in recognition of the outstanding leadership and contributions of the first-term Alumni Association President, Nai-Di Yeh, he was honored with the title of Honorary President and awarded the "Pioneering Leadership, Everlasting Legacy" medal to acknowledge his exceptional role in establishing and strengthening the foundation of the Alumni Association.
