To celebrate the 36th anniversary of Yuan Ze University, the Extracurricular Activities Section of the Office of Student Affairs collaborated with the Angel Heart Family Social Welfare Foundation to host a meaningful Tree Climbing Experience on campus. The event invited families with children with special needs to connect with nature, experience the joy of tree climbing, and gain a sense of accomplishment through overcoming challenges.
The event attracted nearly 70 children with special needs and their families, who participated enthusiastically. With the full support of professional tree-climbing volunteers, the activity was conducted safely and smoothly. The atmosphere was warm and lively as the children, guided patiently by the volunteers, gradually overcame the height challenges. Each successful climb onto a tree branch was met with rounds of applause and cheers. Parents expressed that this experience not only brought their children closer to nature but also significantly boosted their confidence and courage.
Yuan Ze University’s Office of Student Affairs stated that this collaboration with the Angel Heart Family Foundation was an important step in fulfilling the university’s University Social Responsibility (USR) initiative. The university aims to continue organizing more inclusive and socially friendly events in the future, encouraging broader participation and working together to create a more welcoming society.
A representative from the Angel Heart Family Foundation expressed gratitude for Yuan Ze University’s support, emphasizing that the event brought immense joy and emotional fulfillment to families with special needs. The foundation looks forward to future collaborations with the university, creating more diverse and heartwarming activities for families with special needs, and spreading love and care to even more communities.
