In the “Instant Rescue Smart CPR Competition,” students formed teams to challenge each other, using smart devices to analyze compression depth and frequency, improving the precision of their rescue operations. The competition enhanced their learning experience and showcased how technology can optimize medical training.
The “Impact of AI on Healthcare and Medical Education” was presented by Professor Su Yinghua, Chair of the Department of Nursing at Yuan Ze University. She led the students in exploring how technology is transforming the healthcare industry, covering AI applications in healthcare from smart diagnosis to telemedicine. This session opened new horizons and possibilities for the students regarding the future of the healthcare industry.
In the “Introduction to Medical Specialties and Surgical Wound Suturing Techniques,” Professor Chen Yun from Yuan Ze University’s College of Medicine introduced students to basic surgical techniques. Through hands-on wound suturing practice, students experienced the challenge and joy of surgical procedures, gaining insight into the meticulous nature of medical operations. In addition, students toured the university’s professional healthcare training equipment and facilities, which enhanced their understanding of nursing and medical education in a university setting.
The highlight of the camp, the “Wound Suturing Practice Challenge,” excited the students as they tried their hands at surgical suturing techniques under the guidance of medical experts. They got a taste of a surgeon’s “golden hands” training, deepening their respect and understanding of medical and healthcare work.
Yuan Ze University’s Department of Nursing emphasized that through this camp, more young students were introduced to the healthcare profession, fostering their interest in healthcare and medical technology. The university hopes these students will eventually contribute to the healthcare field, helping to usher in a new era of smart healthcare. Looking ahead, the university plans to continue collaborating with the Taoyuan City Government Education Bureau and Taoyuan International City Education Technology Tour to organize more healthcare-related activities, allowing interested students to experience the allure of healthcare technology and contribute to the training of future medical talents.
