Expanding International Collaboration: University of Cincinnati Visits Yuan Ze University to Discuss Dual Degree Programs

On March 7, Ms. Oxana Prokhorova, Director of the College of Engineering and Applied Science and Global Engagement Office at the University of Cincinnati (UC), visited Yuan Ze University (YZU) to hold an information session on dual degree programs. The event attracted approximately 70 enthusiastic students.

During the session, Ms. Prokhorova introduced the 3+1+1 Bachelor-Master Dual Degree Program and the 1+1 Master’s Dual Degree Program. Additionally, she shared details about the Aero-System Operations Program (AESOP)—a newly launched initiative in collaboration with Université de Bordeaux, France. This program allows students to spend one year studying in both the United States and France, earning degrees from both institutions. The initiative aimed to encourage mechanical and electrical engineering students to pursue advanced studies abroad while fostering academic cooperation and international exchange among the three institutions.

The information session received an enthusiastic response, with many students expressing strong interest in the dual degree programs. The prospect of earning two degrees in a short period while gaining international study experience was particularly appealing. UC hoped that through YZU faculty’s promotion and guidance, more students would learn about these programs and be encouraged to step onto the global stage, expanding their academic and professional horizons. Both universities looked forward to further strengthening their collaboration, providing students with more diverse international learning opportunities, and cultivating globally competitive talents.
