YZU remote service train wins the 2023 Taiwan Sustainable Action Award

Yuan Ze University's remote service train won the bronze prize of this year’s 2023 Taiwan Sustainability Action Awards - SDG4 Education Quality. This award is a significant recognition for YZU students and faculty who have long invested in social engagement and sustainable development, as well an important motivation for their future endeavors.  During the period when international volunteer services have been suspended by the COVID-19 pandemic, Yuan Ze University launched a service train to the remote villages. For three consecutive years, the university has led students to rural areas in Yilan, Hualien, and Taitung and invited international students to join the service team that created better and equal educational opportunities for the elderly and children, realizing the goals of the United Nations for sustainable development.
