YZU jointly builds the self-management and Cyber-Physical intelligent control system with the Far Eastern Group

Far Eastern Group attaches great importance to integrating internal resources and encourages industry-university cooperation between Yuan Ze University and Far Eastern group. In 2022, YZU established an enterprise academy with Far Eastern New Century Corporation to jointly cultivate talents and strive for sustainable development and social responsibility.

Professor Chien-Hsin Hsieh, Professor Chi-Yuan Lee from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Professor Chuan-Jun Su, Professor Yun-Chia Liang, and Professor Tien-Lung Sun from the Department of Industrial Engineering and Management worked in the Far Eastern factory to carry out a three-year academic plan－The self-management and Cyber-Physical intelligent control system- combining with the Internet of Things and industrial surround view technology. The system can present the data of public facilities in real-time in replace of manual inspection and use artificial intelligence technology to operate data analysis and modeling control to improve energy efficiency on equipment such as cooling towers, refrigerators, air conditioners, air compressors, and solar street lights.
