YZU team develops AR app of dictionary on the evolution of Chinese characters

Yuan Ze University developed an AR app “Dictionary- the evolution of Chinese characters” which can automatically detect Chinese characters and present the earliest known pictographic forms and their changing over time with English explanation that helps foreigners to study Chinese characters easily.

The app is created by the professional team of three professors: Prof. Chu-Ching Lin (林楚卿) of Art and Design developing it by AR; Prof. Chih-Ming Huang (黃智明) of Chinese Literature providing the meaning, story & image of Chinese character; and Prof. Lichin Chen (陳怡蓁) of Foreign Languages and Applied Linguistics giving the explanation of words in English.
