YZU prof. Wen-Hsing Kuo develops the IoT of CBS interfacing

Prof. Wen-Hsing Kuo of YZU Electrical Engineering Dept. and ArkLab jointly developed interfacing technology of CBS entrusted by National Science and Technology Center for Disaster Reduction. The team broke through this technology to receive CBS from mobile operator in different software and hardware. Kuo said that the Public Warning System by IoT controls building broadcasting system, like electronic scroll and alarming horn to warn the public taking evacuation; to enhance transmitting of emergency messages , environmental security, and to improve institutional adaptability to changes.

The team also developed an unmanned aerial vehicles actuating by CBS. When the carrier meets the storm which may cause crash or has to yield airspace during the earthquake and mudslide, the user can operate mandatory access control through CBS messages and ask it to return, to land and to open parachute automatically for reducing accidents.
