By super oxygen machine, YZU Professor Guo-bin Jung (鐘國濱) from Dept. of Mechanical Engineering and his team won the first prize with CNY30,000 (NTD 150,000) in Cross-Strait Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Contest in Chengdu. The team includes five students: Chun-Wei Yu (余浚瑋), Min-Yu Gan (甘旻諭), Cheng-Lung Lin (林政隆), Che-Yu Lee (李哲宇) and Wen-Jean Fan (范紋禎)
Prof. Jung expressed that the team develops innovative technology of PEMWE which uses proton exchange membrane to decompose water (H2O) into several kinds of high-quality gas such as high concentration of hydrogen molecular, high-pressure oxygen and super oxygen. This technology not only helps food preservation, effective management of recycling aquaculture water, but applies to prediction in dozens of diseases (diabetes, hearing loss, cardiovascular disease, spinal cord injury). It has earned several patents in Taiwan and opportunities of cross-strait business cooperation.
