YZU holds Social Welfare and International Conference

The Department of Social and Policy Sciences of Yuan Ze University held Social Welfare and International Conference on October 15th which falls on 20th anniversary of the department. Through discussion, it helped the academics and Taiwanese people to know more about social welfare, and raised positive strategies to promote social well-being in our country.

Twenty papers are published in the conference with four major aspects, including community empowerment, long-term care industry, cultural creativity, and diverse ethnic groups. These topics include not only academic and theoretical viewpoints by professors, but also the dilemmas of service and suggestions by scholars from the perspective of practical work, which can be regarded as the exchanges and interactions between the "industry" and "academic" circles on the four topics.
