YZU’s invention of IoT multifunctional planetarium wins second prize in Mbile Heroes

The team from Internet Research Laboratory of Yuan Ze University developed the device of multifunctional planetarium in IoT which was awarded NTD 120,000 for second prize in 2018 Mobile Heroes (It was at the first place in College group).

The team leader Wen-Hsing Kuo(郭文興), Associate Professor in Dept. Electrical Engineering, said that traditional planetarium is a highly wrought and expensive work. The team developed the IoT multifunctional planetarium which power comes from a crank handle to operate each planetary arm by gears trains. This craft only display galaxy’s moving without multifunction but the team connected it with IoT and used MediaTek processors to control planetary motion.
