YZU team win in SCSB Fintech Hackathon Competition

YZU team from Dept. Information Management participated in SCSB Fintech Hackathon Competition and came out first after defeat 89 teams.

Prof Liang-Chih Yu (禹良治) said that the team developed an analytical Platform for financial social Media in the competition. By using natural language, processing, sentiment analysis and deep learning, it can automatically extract hot topic, sentiment indicators, financial events and industrial chain from internet news, financial magazines and social media. The platform, supporting several applications such as investment model, financial supervision, credit risk, smart financial advisor, clients developing and industrial analysis, has gained the praises of the judges and won the first place.
